Senator Grisanti Sponsoring Electronics Recycling

New York State Senator Mark J. Grisanti will host a free electronics recycling event on Saturday, September 28.

Electronic waste can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at St. Andrew's Country Day School, located at 1545 Sheridan Drive in Tonawanda.

Old televisions, laptop and desktop computers, cellular telephones, printers, video games and other devices can be dropped off for recycling.

The Western New York Land Conservancy, a regional, not-for-profit land trust formed in 1991 to work with families, communities and farmers to permanently protect the region's most important forests, meadows and farms for future generations to enjoy, is holding a new member drive. 

 “By becoming a member, you will receive the Land Conservancy’s newsletter, invitations to special events and hikes at our preserves, and updates on conservation issues specific to our region,” said Executive Director Nancy Smith. “But most importantly, your membership will support our transformative land conservation work.”

Free Electronics Recycling Event In Hamburg

Environmental Conservation Committee Chairman Mark Grisanti (R, I-60) will be hosting a free electronics recycling collection event in the Town of Hamburg.

"As the Chairman of the New York State Senate Environmental Conservation Committee, we must dispose of our electronics both responsibly and safely. We have previous held successful events in the Town of Tonawanda and the Town of Grand Island where we have collected literally hundreds of thousands of pounds of electronics. I hope the residents of Hamburg and the surrounding communities take advantage of this free opportunity to clean out their homes and dispose their old electronics safely," said Senator Mark Grisanti.

INSECTIVAL - Saturday, July 13th 10am-2pm at Tifft Nature Preserve. Join us for a bug-tastic time at Tifft Nature Preserve where families of all ages can join in a celebration of insects and their arthropod kin!  Activities will include sweeping for insects on the grassy mounds, aquatic insect investigation, edible insect tastings, buggy crafts that are sure to be a hit with the younger set, an insectigation station, and much more!  It will be an insect-errific day for everyone!
