New Book Shines Spotlight on South Park Football Team and Coach; Book-signings Planned

Two book-signing events celebrating the release of “A Spark: The Tim Delaney Story,” by author John M. Davidson, will take place later this month in South Buffalo.

Published by No Frills Buffalo and featuring a foreword by former Buffalo Bills great Mark Kelso, “This book perfectly captures exactly what a true high school football coach is supposed to be, and how Tim Delaney embodies it,” said Buffalo radio and television personality and former high school football coach Sal Capaccio. “The fact that Tim was able to win a state title, given the circumstances and constraints he’s faced, is a great example of perseverance for the very young men he’s coached. And the fact that he did it in his native Buffalo, at his alma mater South Park High School, makes this story even more amazing and special.”

The photographs shown in the April 21 exhibition, “Seneca Babcock Through the Eyes, Hearts and Art of Children: Part III,” resulted from a community art project overseen by Dr. Mary Wolf, Daemen associate professor of art education, and art education major Samantha Lora of Manchester.
