The quick description would be: it's an entire fish fry in your hand (and soon in your belly). The "Junkyard Dog" is fried fish, french fries, coleslaw, and hot sauce, all wrapped up in a flatbread. It's lovingly prepared daily at Ms. Goodies in Buffalo.
Kevin O'Neill sampled one on Thursday's Daybreak.
The restaurant has breakfasts and other lunch specials, of course. But the junkyard dog seems to gather special attention. In fact, that item has won awards at the "Taste Of Buffalo" 4 out of last 6 years, including the "People's Choice" award.
Ms. Goodies is at 1836 Bailey Avenue, near Walden. They are open Monday through Saturday, from 7:30 a.m. until 2. They are open late on Friday, until 7 p.m.
