BPD Respond to Overnight Shootings | News
BUFFALO, NY - It was a busy overnight for Buffalo Police, as they responded to two separate shootings.
According to police spokesperson Mike DeGeorge, the first shooting happened around 11:45pm Thursday in the first block of Thompson Street.
He says two men were arguing and at some point during that argument, one man was shot while walking on Thompson. The victim was rushed to ECMC and is currently in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 17 years old, 5' 3", slim build, in braids with red beads.
The other shooting happened around 12:30am in the 100 block of Urban Street. Buffalo police have arrested two individuals in connection with that shooting, but not the suspects in the shooting.
Buffalo police say a 35-year-old man told them he was shot when he opened his door. The two suspects then fled the scene.
Officers arrived and arrested the shooting victim, Rashaad Goodman, and Rabeehah Shamsidin, 27, and charged both of them with drug possession charges.
Police say they found crack cocaine, other drugs and money in the apartment.
Shamsidin was also charged with reckless endangerment of a child.
Goodman was taken to ECMC to be treated where he is listed in critical condition.
The Urban Street shooting suspects have not been caught.
