Following Injury, Retired Athlete is Reclaiming an Active Lifestyle

When former Slippery Rock University wrestler and West Seneca West Middle School teacher and coach Marty Rudich was told by the medical profession to cut back on his activities and increase his medications, he wisely chose to explore another alternative.

Marty contacted Steven Helmicki, president of Primordial Strength Inc. of East Aurora, and is now working with Helmicki and Primordial to regain his strength and return to a more active and athletic lifestyle.

Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Ambulatory Surgery Center Update: Rendering

A first draft of a rendering of the Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo Ambulatory Surgery Center has been developed and recently presented to the Physician-led Steering Committee that proposed the new center be constructed on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.

Created by Ciminelli Real Estate Companies, which will construct and operate the center, this rendering will soon be presented to the City of Buffalo as part of a scheduled update regarding the project's on-going plans.

Construction of the ambulatory surgery center is expected to begin early in 2011 and be completed within 18 months. Ciminelli is proposing to build approximately 500,000 sq. feet of environmentally friendly medical office space (including underground parking), and 85,000 sq. feet of which will be Kaleida Health space and the ambulatory surgery center. The ambulatory surgery center will serve children and adults.

Marine Functional Force Training, developed locally by Steven Helmicki of East Aurora, president of Primordial Strength Inc., is featured in the December issue of MILO: A Journal For Serious Strength Athletes. Former Lancaster resident Len Kuhn, now manager of Area 4 Gym at Camp Lejune, a Marine Corps military training facility in North Carolina, is photographed in the feature.

Primordial’s Marine Functional Force Training program was specially created to meet the needs of our fighting men and women who train at Area 4.
